Terms and conditions

When you purchase a product from me, whether a painting, a workshop or any other product, I might require more details than just your name and email. These details will be stored safely on my own secured computer for a reasonable amount of time. I only use your details to deliver the product or service you requested and for no other purposes. Please see my Privacy Policy below.

You can pay for paintings on my website through Paypal. In order to process payments through Paypal they require your billing address and credit card details. The transaction takes place outside of my website, on their secure server. I do not store credit card details on my server. Please see Paypal's Privacy Policy for more information.

If you are not happy with your purchase of a painting you can return it, assuming it is in perfect condition.  You will be responsible for the cost of returns & to ensure the painting is returned to me in good condition.

Process for Returns

  1. Notify me within 14 days of delivery if you wish to return the artwork. email: victoria@victoriabrownart.com
  2. Package the artwork securely & label to my address.
  3. As soon as I receive the returned artwork I will arrange the refund.  

Please let me know as soon as possible if you receive a damaged parcel or painting. If the parcel arrives and the packaging appears to be badly damaged then please make some form of documentation on the delivery note, before opening the packaging. If possible try to open the damaged packaging in the presence of the carrier. If you are unable to, then sign for the goods as “Damaged package, uninspected goods”, so that in the event of a claim against the carrier, both parties are aware where the responsibility lies. Please contact me in the event of any damage so that we can sort this as soon as possible.

All my work has been created with love & care & I am always mindful of  the quality of  work wanting  my customers to enjoy the painting for the long term. I sign all my work on the front of the painting & can provide a certificate of authenticity if requested.

Customs, VAT or other taxes might be payable on imported art. The buyer will be responsible for any additional costs like these.

Privacy Policy

I am committed to delivering a privacy-friendly service to web visitors, blog commenters, customers and subscribers. I will only ask for your details if you have requested a product or subscribe to my mailing list. As far as it is within my power I will not share your data with anyone or any other company.

Mailing List  

When you join my mailing list I will use your name and email address to send you regular updates of my art business such as; information about new paintings, new workshops, exhibitions, my own products such as books and cards, courses etc. 

You have the opportunity to opt in or out of my email communications. If at any stage you wish no longer to receive any emails from me you can change your preferences via the links at the bottom of the email footer or contact me and ask to be removed.

Comments and Messages

I may collect and store data you submit to my website, such as messages you post via the website, non-personal data submitted via forms (e.g. ‘comments’ ‘contact form’) and your response to emails I send. When you leave a comment on the blog I may refuse to publish it if I consider it spam, inappropriate or irrelevant.

 External Sites

This privacy policy applies to the data collected via this website. It does not apply to any linked sites. I cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any data that you provide to linked sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. To learn about the privacy policies of any linked sites, please refer to the privacy statements on those sites. I use Google Analytics to analyse site usage (e.g. how my users arrive at the site, what they do on the site, what browser they are using and on what operating system etc) in order to improve the user experience. This data is not tied to personally identifiable information. See Google Analytics privacy policy.

I use social buttons (e.g. Facebook ‘share’, Twitter, etc) to enable users to share or bookmark my web pages. Scripts from domains outside of victoriabrownart.com  are used in order to implement these buttons and connect them to the relevant external sites. Users of social sites should be aware that they are likely to be collecting data on what you are doing across the Internet. Please refer to the individual social sites for further details.

I may use external web services on victoriabrownart.com to display content within my web pages, for example YouTube for videos. As with the social buttons I cannot prevent these external domains from collecting information on your usage of embedded content. I do not sell or rent any personally identifiable information  about you to any third party.
